JDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for two SEND Teaching Assistants for a primary school in Tower Hamlets.

• Tower Hamlets
• Primary School – caters for students with autism and complex needs.
• Easily Accessible by public transport.
• Immediate starts or from January 2024
• Long term roles
• £88 – £90 per day
• Classroom Support – KS1 & KS2
• 1:1 or group work support
• Full time; 8.30am – 3.30pm (Term Time only) Monday to Friday.
• Candidates must hold a clear & enhanced DBS.

To support primary students in KS1 – KS2 with special educational needs including autism, SEMH or complex needs.

These roles will require talented SEND Teaching Assistants who are flexible, enthusiastic, and dedicated to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential, while remaining engaged in their learning.

Applicants desired must possess a minimum of 3 months experience working with children within a school setting as a SEND Teaching Assistant.

You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.

The role will include:

• 1:1 work with students who require additional support
• Leading group work as a SEND Teaching Assistant
• Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
• Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation and resources.
